Solutions

Mission-critical infrastructure,
engineered around you.

Integrated data-centre, power, cooling, energy, monitoring and lifecycle solutions — engineered around your environment, workloads, availability requirements and future growth.

Engineering capabilities

Six disciplines. One integrated solution.

Each capability can stand on its own or be combined with the others according to the project. The architecture follows the requirement — not the product catalogue.

1. Data Centres

Purpose-built infrastructure for demanding IT environments

NTR designs and delivers data centres around the specific requirements of the infrastructure they need to support. From conventional enterprise IT to high-density HPC and AI workloads, every project begins with capacity, availability, deployment environment and future expansion requirements.

Our experience covers greenfield facilities, brownfield upgrades, modular and containerised deployments, rooftop installations and complex projects within operational buildings. Power, cooling, security, monitoring and IT-supporting infrastructure are engineered as an integrated system, with scalability and lifecycle requirements considered from the outset.

Capabilities

  • Purpose-built data-centre design and engineering
  • AI and HPC infrastructure
  • High-density IT environments
  • Modular and containerised data centres
  • Greenfield and brownfield projects
  • Retrofit and capacity expansion
  • Rooftop and space-constrained deployments
  • Integrated power, cooling, security and monitoring
  • Turnkey delivery and commissioning
2. Cooling & Thermal Management

Cooling engineered around the workload

Increasing rack densities and AI/HPC workloads are fundamentally changing the thermal requirements of modern data centres. NTR designs cooling architectures around actual heat loads, IT technology and operating conditions rather than applying a single cooling concept to every project.

Solutions can combine traditional air cooling with direct-to-chip liquid cooling, rear-door heat exchangers and hybrid air/liquid architectures. CDUs, high-temperature water loops, free and adiabatic cooling, heat rejection and heat-reuse systems are integrated according to the application, location and required level of resilience.

For existing facilities, we also engineer upgrades that enable higher rack densities and gradual transition towards liquid-cooled infrastructure without unnecessary replacement of systems that remain fit for purpose.

Capabilities

  • Direct-to-chip liquid cooling
  • Hybrid air and liquid cooling
  • Rear-door heat exchangers – RDHx
  • Coolant distribution units – CDUs
  • High-temperature water cooling
  • Precision air cooling
  • Free cooling and adiabatic heat rejection
  • Redundant cooling architectures
  • Thermal optimisation of existing data centres
  • Heat recovery and reuse
  • Cooling infrastructure for HPC and AI
3. Critical Power Infrastructure

Reliable power from grid connection to IT load

Mission-critical infrastructure depends on more than individual UPS systems or backup generators. NTR engineers the complete power architecture required to deliver reliable, resilient and scalable power from the source to the IT or operational load.

Solutions are developed around actual availability requirements and can include independent A+B power paths, modular UPS systems, lithium-ion battery technology, backup generation, low- and medium-voltage distribution, power quality management and protection systems.

For high-density HPC and AI environments, the power infrastructure is engineered to accommodate large and rapidly changing loads while allowing future capacity expansion without unnecessary disruption to existing operations.

Capabilities

  • A+B power architectures
  • Modular UPS systems
  • Lithium-ion battery systems
  • Backup generation
  • LV and MV power distribution
  • Power quality and protection
  • Redundant power infrastructure
  • High-density AI/HPC power delivery
  • Power infrastructure upgrades
  • Capacity expansion and modernisation
4. Energy Infrastructure

Energy systems engineered as part of the infrastructure

Energy availability, efficiency and long-term operating cost increasingly need to be considered together with critical infrastructure design.

NTR engineers energy systems for generation, storage and distribution, integrating renewable sources and energy-management technologies according to the requirements of each site. Solutions can range from utility-scale photovoltaic infrastructure and electrical conversion systems to battery energy storage, grid integration and energy-management concepts.

Where data-centre and energy infrastructure intersect, we consider power availability, efficiency, heat reuse and the potential for greater energy autonomy as part of one engineering problem.

Capabilities

  • Renewable energy infrastructure
  • Solar power systems
  • Battery energy storage systems – BESS
  • Power conversion infrastructure
  • Grid connection and integration
  • Medium-voltage infrastructure
  • Energy distribution
  • Energy management
  • Integration with mission-critical facilities
  • Energy-efficiency optimisation
5. Monitoring & Control

Visibility across critical infrastructure

Reliable infrastructure also requires visibility into how individual systems perform together.

NTR integrates monitoring and control across power, cooling and supporting infrastructure, providing operators with real-time information on system status, alarms, energy use, environmental conditions and available capacity.

Depending on project requirements, solutions can integrate DCIM, BMS and EPMS environments with equipment-level controls and remote supervision. The objective is not simply to collect data, but to provide meaningful operational visibility that supports faster response, capacity planning, energy optimisation and reliable day-to-day operation.

Capabilities

  • DCIM integration
  • BMS integration
  • EPMS integration
  • Real-time infrastructure monitoring
  • Power and energy monitoring
  • Thermal and environmental monitoring
  • Alarm management
  • Remote supervision
  • Capacity monitoring
  • Infrastructure performance optimisation
6. Maintenance & Lifecycle Support

Support throughout the operational life of the infrastructure

Mission-critical infrastructure does not stop being an engineering responsibility once commissioning is complete.

NTR provides preventive maintenance, system monitoring, technical support, interventions and infrastructure upgrades throughout the operational life of the systems we deliver and support.

Our engineers work across power, cooling, control and supporting infrastructure, allowing maintenance and troubleshooting to consider the interaction between systems rather than treating individual components in isolation. As requirements change, we can also support capacity expansion, technology upgrades and modernisation while minimising disruption to ongoing operations.

Capabilities

  • Preventive maintenance
  • 24/7 technical support
  • Remote monitoring
  • Fault diagnostics and intervention
  • Power and cooling infrastructure maintenance
  • System upgrades and modernisation
  • Capacity expansion
  • Lifecycle planning
  • Operational optimisation
  • Support for existing and third-party infrastructure

NTR engineered platforms

Proven platforms. Configured for the project.

Alongside fully bespoke infrastructure, NTR has developed a range of proven engineering platforms that can be configured and integrated according to individual project requirements.
